Sample Itinerary
Adventure in Tuscany
We specialize in gearing our customized tours to our participants. Below is an example of a week itinerary at a villa in Tuscany. You will receive a questionnaire asking for the activities and events you most want to experience on this adventure. All efforts will be made to weave in activities that will be of greatest interest to the individuals and the group. We will be somewhat flexible and spontaneous to take advantage of regional events and foods and will provide a final itinerary prior to your departure.
Day One: Arrive in Rome. Airport transfer to your hotel in Rome.
Dinner will be independent due to varied arrival times. We will have several suggestions for you near your hotel.
Day Two: Depart Rome for the Villa, which will be your home base while in Tuscany. Enjoy the leisurely drive through the Tuscan countryside where we will stop along the way at a local trattoria for lunch.
Upon arriving to our villa you will have time to unpack and get acquainted with the villa and grounds at your leisure. Our personal chef, will prepare a special welcome dinner.
Day Three: After a continental breakfast, we will depart for an excursion to one of the nearby towns and visit a lively outdoor food and antiquarian market. Lunch will be in a classic Italian restaurant. After a leisurely lunch there will be time to explore the town before returning to our villa.
Tonight we will relax and enjoy a light dinner outdoors on the loggia weather permitting and watch a beautiful sunset on the hillsides.
Day Four: Today we will explore the majestic hilltown of San Gimignano, known for it's famous skyline of thirteen towers built by rival noble families during the 12th & 13th centuries. After lunch, time permitting we will explore the neighboring countryside.
Day Five: This is your day to relax at the villa or choose an activity of interest (see separate list). For dinner, join our personal chef and learn how to prepare a course for the evening meal.
Day Six: Today we head off early for the beautiful renaissance city of Florence. We will explore several of the highlights of Florence, stop for lunch and then give you the afternoon to explore the wonderful shops and sights in this magical city. A light dinner will await us upon our return.
Day Seven: This is your day to relax at the villa or choose an activity of interest. Tonight's dinner will be at a nearby village where you will ride a funicular to the old city center and have an incredible dinner at the hilltop restaurant.
Day Eight: Today we will take a private tour with our group to a culinary tour such as a local winery; truffle hunt, olive oil mill and/or a pasta factory and enjoy a lunch with our hosts. Tonight we will have a special dinner prepared by our chef in celebration of the week together.
Day Nine: We will depart our villa mid morning and take a leisurely drive back to Rome where you will be taken to your hotel. This will complete our Tuscan adventure together.
